I embarked on a journey for a simple, effective, and safe way to lock out access to television, computer games, Internet, and power tools. I went to every major retailer and wholesaler of locks in this country. There still was nothing available. So, building upon my success with the combination lock, I created a simple solution. I designed a lock with the correct size shank and with the clearance needed to safely attach to all kinds of electrical plugs. I also designed a cover for the prongs so that there would be no chance of inadvertently plugging in the device and risking an electrical shock. My patent pending device includes a cover for the prongs that allow access for the lock to go through. It effectively and safely locks out unrestricted use to most electrical appliances and devices. It took two years of research and development, but LOCK-OUT was finally born. Now, parents can lock out their children’s use of television, the Internet, computer games, and power tools.
