A
recent American Medical Association study on television violence
showed that nearly three-quarters of the parents surveyed wanted
to control how much and what shows their children watched on television.
The V-chip, which had been touted to be the best solution to the
television control problem, was failing. No simple, inexpensive,
or effective devices were available to most parents. I realized
that television wasn’t the only problem. Parents wanted to control
access to the Internet and computer games. I also discovered that
there was a need for a device that would restrict accidental use
of power tools and other electrical devices. I
wanted a Safer Solution.. |
